Demolition and full reconstruction of an 800m2 private residence, including the formation of new basement, landscaping and swimming pool.
The concept of keeping and improving key elements of the original house in the new-built scheme thus led to the retention to a large extent of the south elevation with its characterful cantilevering balconies, while the north elevation and all floor plates were completely replanned.
VerdeOeste supported every phase of the project during design, licensing and preparation of the initial budgets, through to tendering and monitoring the delivery of a quality family home to the employers’ precise requirements.
The works were procured in four separate work packages of demolition & excavation, concrete frame & roof structures, envelope & fit-out, followed by landscaping & pool. This approach allowed for works to progress while design details for later elements were developed, without compromise to quality of programme compliance. VerdeOeste also overlooked all necessary licensing procedures and communication with the local municipality and utility providers.
